The service light has come on, or something has started to sound odd. If your BMW is from 2010–2019, it's most likely an F-series car. They're the cars we know best.

Which models are F-series?
BMW gives every generation a code. Codes starting with F belong to the 2010s models. If you don't know your car's code, type the registration number to Laura and she'll look it up.

How F-series servicing works
F-series cars have the CBS system. It monitors the oil and other wear items and shows in the instrument cluster when a service is due. The oil interval is typically 15,000–30,000 km depending on how the car is driven.
We still recommend a service at least once a year, even if you don't drive much. Every service is recorded in BMW's digital service book, so the history stays with the car and shows when you sell it.

Your warranty stays valid
